The Larnaca International Airport
The Larnaca International Airport (IATA: LCA, ICAO: LCLK), located approximately four kilometers southwest of the city of Larnaca. This is the main international airport of Cyprus and the main gateway to Cyprus.
The Airport has two terminals. The main terminal opened in November 2009 and consists of two levels: one for departures and one for arrivals. The second terminal is now used as a spare and for servicing private aircraft for freight and for official visits.
The new terminal has 16 airlifts (bellows) for boarding and disembarkation to and from the aircraft.
Today, Larnaka International Airport has become a focal point of passenger transport between Europe and the Middle East. The promotion of Cyprus as one of the most popular tourist destinations, leading to a gradual increase in air traffic at the airport in numbers of more than 5 million passengers per year.
